On Friday during our free time, something very
cool happened. After doing some shopping in the morning, and lunch at a nice
restaurant, my teammates and I went to a plaza in down to relax and maybe try to take a
little nap (it was siesta time so the stores were closed). Kim B. was talking with
Daniel (one of the translators from Word of Life in B.A.) about American football, and
since we had a football with us, decided to show him how to pass the football. He
picked up on it very quickly, so a number of us began playing catch there in the plaza.
A number of the locals seemed curious, and a few of them actually joined us in
throwing the ball back and forth. Some of my teammates seized the opportunity to
hand out tracts and invitations to Paul's church and our final crusade meeting (which was
that night), and also shared the gospel with several people, two of which made professions
of faith! In this picture, Neal and Kenny are sharing with one of the locals.
We dubbed that football the "Evanga-ball".
